It has been a while since I posted but it is here.  The exhibition has opened of the artwork that has been created to represent the experience of dyslexia.  If you are in Auckland or going to be over the next couple of weeks why not check it out.

The Alphabet Begins

After the first focus group in Auckland the alphabet has begun.  Each of the letters of the alphabet are created by different people to represent their experiences of language.  The aim is to create an alphabet from a dyslexic perspective.

The video is one short film made about the experience of walking into a room for people with dyslexia.  The voice is of a dyslexic person telling her story and the images were made with her using photoshop and stop animation to represent her experience.  This film is about representing dyslexic knowledge.

Brief research description

Here's a little more detail about the research.  The info is about the Auckland session but there will be focus groups in Wellington and Christchurch as well, so if you would like more information please contact me.  I am also asking if their are people who would be interested in sharing their experiences of dyslexia with me but would prefer to do so by talking.
